St. Chad’s Community Project was established in 1990 as a response to growing concern that members of the local Bensham population had diminishing access to limited resources in relation to child care, recreational and training facilities. Funded by the Church Urban Fund, Urban Programme and other charitable bodies, the Project was initially based in a converted area of St. Chad’s Church.
