St Chad’s Family Support Services aims to provide a range of groups and activities which work towards meeting the needs of families in the community.

Family Support Services Summer Holiday Programme 2012.

Now available from Reception!

The Women's Group is a social group which runs once a week on a Thursday morning 9.30am-11.30am.

A crèche is provided so parents can attend the group knowing their child is being cared for by qualified staff.

Within the group the women will have the opportunity to carry out various activities such as, arts and crafts, computers, keep fit, cooking sessions, gardening general discussions and much much more.

Toddler Break is a nuture group for children aged 2-4 years to prepare them for nursery and school

Sessions are available on Monday mornings from 9.30am - 11.25am also Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 12.30pm - 2.25pm. Children are cared for by qualified childcare staff, who will provide your child with the opportunity to enjoy a host of play activities.

Parents and Child Group - Is held on a Wednesday mornings 9.15am - 11.15am. - Small Charge

Learning Through Play is held on Friday morning 9.15am - 11.15am. - Free Group

(times and days of both groups may change during school holidays).

Here we offer a safe stimulating environment where children learn through play. The group offers children the opportunity to play with other children of the same age, giving them the experience of learning to mix,share and take turns. It gives parents the chance to meet and share experiences and make new friends.

Gateshead Family Learning runs weekly courses on a Tuesday morning 9.30am-11.30am, offering a wide range of free courses to local families to help parents to develop their skills with a variety of activities and topics. The courses will allow parents, grandparents and carers the opportunity to have fun, relax and build up their self esteem and confidence to help in every day life.

Free childcare is provided while you take part in the sessions but must be booked in advance.

Learn various techniques of massage for your baby to help combat issues such as colic, tummy discomfort, sleep patterns, restlessness and relaxation. These classes are free and run various times of the year. If you are interested please contact family Support staff for more information.
