Celebrating our 20th Anniversary 1990- 2010

St Chad's Community Project was established in 1990 in response to the Church of England's Faith in the City Report.

MISSION STATEMENT St Chad's Community Project is a charity working in partnership with families to build a better community.

AIMS As a Community Development Project, we aim to meet the needs of the local community by offering childcare, family support and opportunities for social action, leisure activities and training. We also offer opportunities for family learning. All provision offered to families is supported by childcare.

The Project is located at 21 Liddell Terrace in the Bensham area of Gateshead.

The Children's Services and Family Support Service offer a wide variety of activities and outings.

The Project has been funded by a wide range of Trust Funds in addition to funding from Gateshead Council. Project staff organise fund raising events.
